Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 technology innovation roadmap, identifying emerging trends in AI, quantum computing, and biotechnology
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype and validate disruptive solutions with 3-5 year market impact
- Conduct horizon scanning and competitive analysis to identify strategic opportunities and threats
- Present innovation frameworks to executive stakeholders and secure funding for high-potential initiatives
- Build partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and industry leaders to accelerate R&D cycles
- Mentor innovation teams and cultivate a culture of experimentation and calculated risk-taking
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, innovation management, or future-focused R&D roles
- Proven track record of launching commercialized products from concept to market (minimum 3 successful cases)
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains: generative AI, quantum computing, or synthetic biology
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Innovation (MBA/MS preferred)
- Exceptional strategic communication skills with ability to articulate complex futures to diverse audiences
- Experience securing $5M+ innovation budgets and managing P&L for R&D initiatives
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry white papers
