Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis to identify disruptive opportunities through 2026
- Develop strategic frameworks for exponential technology adoption (quantum, biotech, AGI)
- Design human-centered innovation pipelines addressing climate and societal challenges
- Partner with R&D to prototype next-gen solutions in our Austin Innovation Lab
- Present foresight briefings to executive board and venture partners
- Establish ethical governance protocols for emerging technologies
- Mentor cross-functional teams in strategic foresight methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or emerging tech
- Proven track record in exponential technology adoption (quantum/AI/biotech)
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field
- Published thought leadership on 2020s tech disruption
- Expertise in scenario planning and trend impact modeling
- Experience with venture capital or corporate innovation ecosystems
- Certification in Futures Thinking or Strategic Foresight (preferred)
- Portfolio demonstrating 5+ future-shaping initiatives
