Responsibilities
- Develop and implement forward-looking strategic frameworks for 2026+ market landscapes
- Analyze emerging technologies (quantum computing, synthetic biology, neural interfaces) and their commercial implications
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate futuristic insights into actionable business roadmaps
- Author white papers and trend reports that influence industry discourse and client strategy
- Collaborate with R&D teams to prototype future-state business models and revenue streams
- Monitor geopolitical shifts and demographic trends to identify strategic inflection points
- Mentor junior futurists and build an internal foresight capability
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futurism, Strategic Planning, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years experience in trend analysis, scenario planning, or innovation strategy
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging technology domains (AI, biotech, quantum, etc.)
- Proven track record of translating foresight into tangible business outcomes
- Exceptional communication skills with executive audiences and diverse stakeholders
- Published thought leadership in futurism or strategic foresight
- Proficiency in foresight methodologies (horizon scanning, Delphi, causal layered analysis)
- Portfolio demonstrating 5+ major strategic initiatives launched from future trends
