Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon-scanning research to identify disruptive technologies and societal shifts impacting 2026+
- Develop strategic frameworks for emerging domains (quantum computing, synthetic biology, neuro-interfaces)
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate future scenarios into actionable business roadmaps
- Author thought leadership publications and present at global industry forums
- Partner with R&D to prototype future-concept solutions and validate market readiness
- Build predictive models for technology adoption curves and regulatory landscapes
- Mentor junior futurists and cultivate a culture of strategic foresight across the organization
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Technology Forecasting, or related field
- 5+ years in strategy consulting, tech innovation, or futurist research
- Proven expertise in scenario planning, trend analysis, and horizon scanning methodologies
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (AI, quantum, synthetic biology) and their societal impacts
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to distill complex concepts for executive audiences
- Published work in futurist publications or demonstrated thought leadership
- Experience with strategic planning tools (e.g., STEEP analysis, Delphi method)
- Portfolio showcasing future scenario projects and strategic recommendations
