Responsibilities
- Develop 5-10 year technology roadmaps aligned with societal and market evolution trends
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with R&D, product, and sustainability teams
- Analyze emerging tech disruptors (quantum, biotech, AR/VR) for commercial viability
- Establish KPI frameworks for measuring long-term innovation impact
- Present strategic insights to C-suite and external stakeholders at industry summits
- Manage $2M+ annual innovation budget across experimental projects
- Mentor junior futurists and build internal innovation competency programs
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic planning, R&D management, or innovation consulting
- Proven track record launching future-focused products/services (2018-2025)
- Expertise in scenario planning and technology forecasting methodologies
- Advanced degree in Technology Management, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Published research on technological disruption or future studies
- Certification in Foresight Methodology (e.g., CFM preferred)
- Experience securing federal/state innovation grants (SBIR/STTR)
- Portfolio demonstrating at least 3 major tech adoption lifecycle transformations
