Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project lifecycle for 2026 Olympic venues, infrastructure, and operational systems
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across government agencies, sponsors, and international sporting bodies
- Develop and manage $500M+ project budgets with rigorous financial controls
- Implement sustainability frameworks aligned with Olympic Agenda 2026+ standards
- Design legacy programs ensuring long-term community and economic benefits post-Games
- Manage vendor relationships and contract negotiations for key services
- Oversee risk mitigation strategies for complex logistical and regulatory challenges
- Report progress to IOC executive board and local government stakeholders
Qualifications
- 10+ years in project management with 5+ years leading large-scale events ($200M+ budgets)
- Proven experience with Olympic, FIFA World Cup, or similar mega-events
- Advanced degree in Project Management, Sports Management, or Urban Planning
- PMP certification and Prince2 Practitioner credentials required
- Expertise in sustainable event management and carbon-neutral initiatives
- Fluency in English with working knowledge of French or Spanish
- Experience with cross-cultural stakeholder management across 15+ countries
- Technical proficiency in MS Project, Primavera P6, and sustainability tracking tools
