- Develop quantum error correction protocols achieving <10^-9 logical error rates
- Integrate cryogenic control systems with classical computing infrastructure
- Lead quantum software-hardware co-design initiatives for hybrid workflows
- Establish quantum security frameworks for post-quantum cryptography
- Drive patent strategy in quantum hardware innovations
- Mentor junior engineers in quantum engineering best practices
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in quantum computing hardware development at top-tier labs
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum error correction or cryogenic systems
- Expertise in superconducting qubit fabrication and control electronics
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, PyQuil)
- Experience leading quantum projects with $10M+ budgets
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation techniques
