Responsibilities
- Lead development of fault-tolerant quantum processors with >1000 qubits by 2026
- Design hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for optimization problems
- Architect quantum networking infrastructure for global quantum internet
- Partner with government agencies on quantum security initiatives
- Publish 3+ peer-reviewed papers annually in Nature/Science journals
- Manage $10M+ research budget and 12-person quantum team
- Drive commercialization of quantum applications in finance and healthcare
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 8+ years of quantum computing research with 3+ publications in top-tier journals
- Expertise in superconducting qubits or trapped ion systems
- Proven track record leading quantum hardware projects
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Experience securing DoE or NSF quantum research grants
- Strong background in quantum machine learning algorithms
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts for C-suite audiences
