Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps aligning with 2026 market projections and sustainability mandates
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives in quantum AI, neural interfaces, and climate-positive tech
- Establish strategic partnerships with MIT Media Lab, NASA JPL, and global innovation hubs
- Translate complex scientific breakthroughs into viable commercial applications
- Present future-tech frameworks to C-suite executives and venture capital partners
- Mentor a team of 12 futurist researchers and prototype engineers
- Secure $5M+ annual R&D funding through visionary proposals and ROI modeling
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Quantum Physics, or Bioengineering with 8+ years in applied R&D
- Proven track record in launching tech products with $50M+ market impact
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum algorithms, neuromorphic computing, or carbon-negative tech
- Published research in Nature/Science journals with 500+ citations
- Experience securing federal grants (DARPA, NSF) and EU Horizon Europe funding
- Fluency in Python, TensorFlow, and quantum programming languages (Q#)
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ commercially deployed futuristic technologies
- Validated ability to translate complex concepts for executive audiences
