Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 2026 technology strategy roadmap aligned with market forecasts
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints for quantum computing, AI ethics, and biotech convergence
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies through patent analysis and academic partnerships
- Present future-vision briefings to C-suite executives and venture capital partners
- Drive R&D allocation for next-gen projects including autonomous systems and neural interfaces
- Establish KPIs for technology adoption readiness and ROI forecasting
- Mentor junior futurists in horizon scanning methodology
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with 5+ years in emerging tech roles
- Proven track record in commercializing future-focused innovations
- Expertise in quantum computing, AI governance, or synthetic biology
- PhD or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurist Studies
- Published thought leadership in IEEE, Nature Futures, or similar journals
- Experience with scenario planning frameworks (e.g., Delphi method, STEEP analysis)
- Strong network connections with DARPA, NASA, or academic research institutions
- Proficiency in Python for data modeling and trend analysis
