Apex Strategy Partners is looking for a strategic and analytical Business Analyst (Part-Time) to support our growing portfolio of projects in New York. In this role, you will be the critical link between business operations and technical development, translating complex needs into actionable solutions. What You'll Do:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, document, and analyze business requirements.
- Conduct comprehensive process mapping and gap analysis to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop functional specifications, wireframes, and user stories for software development teams.
- Perform data analysis to generate insights, reports, and dashboards that drive decision-making.
- Support the end-to-end lifecycle of business initiatives, from concept to deployment.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to ensure user adoption of new processes.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Business Analysis or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL) and modeling software (Visio, Lucidchart).
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Must be available for part-time hours (approx. 20-30 hours per week).
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive business process analysis to identify gaps and optimization opportunities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize business requirements.
- Develop detailed functional specifications, process maps, and user stories for technical teams.
- Perform data analysis and create compelling dashboards and reports to track KPIs.
- Support the execution of IT projects and system implementations, ensuring business needs are met.
- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and facilitate training sessions for end-users.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in Business Analysis or a related role.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SQL, Excel, Tableau) and diagramming software (Visio, Lucidchart).
- Strong understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and agile methodologies.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work part-time (20-30 hours/week) with a proactive, self-starter attitude.
