Responsibilities
- Architect and execute the 2026 technology roadmap, integrating emerging fields like quantum AI and synthetic biology
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with R&D, product, and engineering teams
- Identify and evaluate breakthrough technologies with $50M+ innovation budget
- Develop patent strategies for 15+ emerging technologies annually
- Present future-vision briefings to C-suite and board of directors
- Manage strategic partnerships with leading research institutions (MIT, Caltech, etc.)
- Build and lead a 10-person Future Technologies incubation team
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology roles with 5+ in emerging tech
- Proven track record of launching breakthrough products/services
- Deep expertise in AI, quantum computing, or biotechnology convergence
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Physics, or Bioengineering preferred
- Published thought leadership in top-tier tech journals
- Experience managing $10M+ innovation budgets
- Exceptional systems thinking and scenario planning abilities
- Portfolio of 3+ commercialized future-tech innovations
