Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop 2026 technology roadmaps for AI, quantum systems, and synthetic biology
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies with 3-5 year commercialization potential
- Design strategic partnerships with academic institutions and government labs
- Present technology forecasts to C-suite and board members with data-driven impact analyses
- Manage $15M+ innovation portfolio with ROI-focused resource allocation
- Develop patent strategies for breakthrough inventions in quantum-AI convergence
- Represent company at global tech summits and policy forums
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Bioengineering, or related field with 8+ years experience
- Proven track record in commercializing emerging technologies (AI/quantum/biotech)
- Expertise in technology forecasting methodologies (Delphi, scenario planning)
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent tier-1 journals
- Experience leading R&D teams of 50+ professionals across multiple domains
- Strong network with DARPA, NSF, or equivalent innovation ecosystems
- Proficiency in patent law and technology transfer frameworks
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
