- Analyze patent landscapes and competitive intelligence to identify disruptive opportunities
- Present strategic technology briefings to C-suite executives and key stakeholders
- Manage R&D partnerships with academic institutions and tech incubators
- Author thought leadership publications on future tech adoption patterns
- Oversee $5M+ innovation budget allocation for experimental projects
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership roles
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Proven track record in commercializing emerging technologies
- Deep expertise in at least 3 future-tech domains (e.g., quantum computing, synthetic biology, spatial computing)
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing multi-million dollar budgets
- Published thought leadership in IEEE, Nature, or equivalent journals
- Proficiency in strategic foresight methodologies (e.g., Delphi, horizon scanning)
- Security clearance preferred for government-contract work
