Responsibilities
- Anticipate and analyze global megatrends across technology, climate, and social dynamics to inform strategic decisions
- Develop 3-5 year innovation roadmaps for AI, biotech, and quantum computing domains
- Lead scenario-planning workshops for executive leadership and key stakeholders
- Partner with product teams to embed future-proofing principles into development lifecycles
- Author forward-looking thought leadership and patentable innovation frameworks
- Build and maintain an external ecosystem of futurists, academics, and industry disruptors
- Quantify future market opportunities through predictive modeling and trend analysis
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategy, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership with proven foresight track record
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or relevant technical field
- Published research or patents in emerging technologies (quantum, synthetic biology, AGI)
- Mastery of horizon scanning methodologies (Delphi, STEEP, weak signal analysis)
- Experience translating foresight into commercial products with $100M+ impact
- Exceptional storytelling ability to communicate complex futures to diverse audiences
- Proficiency in futures modeling tools (e.g., Causal Layered Analysis, Cross-Impact Matrix)
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful future-proofed initiatives
