Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis across 15+ emerging technology domains (quantum computing, biotech convergence, AI ethics)
- Develop strategic innovation roadmaps aligning with company's 2026 growth objectives
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops to translate foresight into actionable R&D initiatives
- Author quarterly future-state briefings for executive board and investor relations
- Build and manage a global network of futurists, academics, and industry disruptors
- Champion responsible innovation frameworks balancing disruption with ethical implications
- Drive corporate innovation incubator programs targeting 5-10 year horizons
Qualifications
- 8+ years in strategic foresight, innovation management, or technology consulting
- Proven track record of translating future trends into commercial opportunities
- Expertise in systems thinking, scenario planning, and exponential technology assessment
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Technology Management, or related field
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation strategy (journal/conference)
- Proficiency in foresight methodologies (Delphi, Horizon Scanning, STEEPVL analysis)
- Demonstrated experience influencing C-level strategy decisions through data-driven narratives
- Exceptional storytelling ability to make complex futures compelling and actionable
