Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis for emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech, Web3) through 2026-2030
- Develop and maintain a strategic technology roadmap aligned with long-term business objectives
- Collaborate with C-suite executives to integrate future-focused innovations into product development
- Produce thought leadership content (whitepapers, keynote speeches) positioning company as industry futurist
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and research labs for technology incubation
- Quantify market potential and ROI for emerging technologies through data-driven analysis
- Mentor cross-functional teams on future technology implications and implementation strategies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Technology, Business, or related field; PhD preferred
- 8+ years in strategic technology planning, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of anticipating and capitalizing on emerging tech trends
- Deep expertise in at least two of: AI/ML, quantum computing, advanced robotics, or decentralized systems
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights
- Strong presentation and communication skills for executive and technical audiences
- Published thought leadership in technology or business publications
- Experience with scenario planning and technology impact assessment methodologies
