Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies with transformative potential by 2026
- Develop comprehensive technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives and market trends
- Lead cross-functional workshops to integrate futuristic concepts into product development
- Advise C-suite on strategic implications of emerging tech (quantum computing, neuromorphic AI, etc.)
- Build and maintain relationships with academic institutions and research labs
- Produce strategic foresight reports and scenario planning documents
- Mentor innovation teams on future-proofing methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D, or innovation leadership
- Proven track record of translating futuristic concepts into commercial applications
- Expertise in emerging technologies: quantum computing, neuromorphic systems, synthetic biology
- Strong analytical skills with ability to model complex systems and scenarios
- Exceptional communication skills for executive stakeholder engagement
- Advanced degree in Technology, Futures Studies, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Published thought leadership on technological disruption
- Experience with scenario planning and strategic foresight methodologies
