Responsibilities
- Lead strategic planning for 2026 technology initiatives and product roadmaps
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies (quantum computing, biotech, AI ethics) for commercial viability
- Manage a $5M innovation budget across 12+ R&D projects
- Present findings to C-suite and board members with data-driven recommendations
- Mentor a team of 8 innovation specialists and foster a culture of calculated risk-taking
- Develop partnerships with MIT Media Lab, Stanford HAI, and global research institutions
- Author annual 'State of Innovation' report for industry stakeholders
Qualifications
- 15+ years in tech innovation with 5+ years in leadership roles
- Proven track record launching products with $100M+ market impact
- Expertise in future-gazing methodologies (scenario planning, horizon scanning)
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business (PhD preferred)
- Patents or published research in emerging technologies
- Experience scaling innovation teams from 5 to 50+ members
- Fluency in at least two programming languages (Python/Java/C++)
- Deep understanding of global tech policy and regulatory landscapes
