Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 technology foresight strategy, identifying disruptive trends across AI, biotech, and clean energy sectors
- Lead scenario planning workshops for executive leadership, translating complex data into actionable strategic roadmaps
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions (MIT, Stanford) and innovation labs to pioneer breakthrough research
- Author thought leadership publications and keynote presentations at global forums like CES and Davos
- Oversee cross-functional teams of data scientists and product managers to prototype future-facing solutions
- Secure $5M+ annual R&D budget allocation for high-impact innovation initiatives
Qualifications
- 15+ years in strategic foresight, innovation management, or emerging technology leadership
- Proven track record of commercializing futuristic technologies (AI/quantum/sustainable tech focus)
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field with PhD preferred
- Deep expertise in horizon scanning methodologies, Delphi techniques, and technology adoption curves
- Exceptional communication skills with executive board experience and public speaking credentials
- Published author in peer-reviewed journals or industry publications on future trends
- Experience securing federal/state innovation grants and venture capital for R&D projects
