Responsibilities
- Network Design & Deployment: Architect a scalable, multi-layered network architecture to handle 10Gbps+ throughput during peak event loads.
- 5G & IoT Integration: Oversee the integration of 5G private networks and IoT sensors across all Olympic venues.
- Security Architecture: Implement zero-trust security protocols and threat detection systems to safeguard athlete data and event operations.
- Vendor Management: Lead negotiations and oversight of third-party infrastructure providers and telecom partners.
- Disaster Recovery: Develop and test robust failover plans to ensure 99.999% uptime during the Games.
- Legacy Planning: Transition temporary Olympic infrastructure into permanent public assets for the city.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Telecommunications; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certification: Active CCIE or equivalent senior-level certification (JNCIE, GCIH).
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in large-scale enterprise networking or high-profile event IT infrastructure.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SD-WAN, Python scripting for network automation, and network virtualization (VMware NSX, Cisco ACI).
- Security: Deep understanding of cybersecurity standards (ISO 27001, NIST).
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams in high-pressure environments.
