Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable quantum circuit architectures for commercial applications
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize qubit coherence times and gate fidelities
- Create quantum algorithms for machine learning and cryptography applications
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives with academia and industry partners
- Document quantum system specifications and security protocols
- Mentor junior engineers in quantum physics principles and engineering practices
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in quantum computing architecture or quantum algorithm development
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Experience with cryogenic quantum system integration and testing
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
