Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable quantum computing architectures for commercial applications
- Develop novel quantum algorithms optimized for error correction and fault tolerance
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and software engineers to build quantum systems
- Research and integrate emerging quantum technologies (e.g., topological qubits, photonic computing)
- Create quantum software development kits (SDKs) for enterprise adoption
- Collaborate with Fortune 500 partners to solve industry-specific quantum challenges
- Author white papers and patents for quantum computing innovations
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in quantum computing research or commercial quantum system development
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, VQE) and quantum error correction
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Strong background in superconducting qubits or trapped-ion systems
- Experience with high-performance computing architectures
- Published research in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Track record of translating theoretical concepts into practical implementations
