Responsibilities
- Design fault-tolerant quantum circuits for real-world applications in cryptography and materials science
- Lead architecture development for hybrid quantum-classical computing platforms
- Optimize qubit coherence times using advanced error correction protocols
- Develop quantum machine learning frameworks for predictive analytics
- Collaborate with government agencies on quantum security standards
- Patent breakthrough quantum algorithms with commercialization potential
- Mentor a team of quantum engineers and researchers
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (MS with exceptional experience)
- 5+ years developing quantum algorithms or quantum error correction systems
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum hardware
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Track record of translating theoretical concepts into working prototypes
- Security clearance preferred for government projects
