Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable quantum algorithms for real-world applications
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks and optimization protocols
- Lead architecture for quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with research teams to translate theoretical models into deployable solutions
- Establish security protocols for quantum-resistant cryptographic systems
- Document quantum system architectures and conduct performance benchmarking
- Mentor junior engineers in quantum computing best practices
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (MS with 8+ years experience considered)
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and frameworks
- Proven experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, etc.)
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and information theory
- Track record of publishing in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Experience with cloud-based quantum services (AWS Braket, Azure Quantum)
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical projects from concept to deployment
