Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum error correction protocols for 2026-scale systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for optimization problems
- Lead prototyping of superconducting qubit architectures
- Collaborate with materials science team to engineer novel quantum substrates
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum programming frameworks
- Secure $10M+ in government/industry grants for 2026 initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry breakthrough)
- Published work in quantum information theory (arXiv:quant-ph)
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or custom quantum simulators
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware systems
- Deep understanding of topological quantum computing models
- Track record of solving NP-hard problems with quantum approaches
- Security clearance for DoD quantum projects preferred
