Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development and optimization for practical commercial applications
- Design and execute quantum computing research experiments in superconducting and photonic systems
- Mentor cross-functional team of 8+ quantum physicists and software engineers
- Collaborate with industry partners to identify and solve real-world quantum computing challenges
- Develop quantum error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant computing
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and present at major conferences
- Secure and manage multi-million dollar research grants from government and private sources
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and quantum circuit design
- Proven track record of publishing high-impact quantum computing research
- Deep understanding of quantum hardware architectures and decoherence challenges
- Experience leading technical teams and managing complex research projects
- Strong background in machine learning and its intersection with quantum algorithms
