Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for practical enterprise applications
- Design and implement error-correction protocols for scalable quantum systems
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and top-tier conferences
- Manage cross-functional teams of quantum physicists, ML engineers, and hardware specialists
- Secure $10M+ in government/private research grants annually
- Develop quantum-resistant cybersecurity frameworks for Fortune 500 clients
- Shape industry standards through IEEE and NIST quantum computing committees
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum computing research with IBM/Google/D-Wave systems
- Published 10+ peer-reviewed papers in quantum information science
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or PennyLane frameworks
- Track record of securing $5M+ in research funding
- Strong background in topological quantum computing or quantum machine learning
- Experience mentoring postdoctoral researchers and PhD candidates
- Clearance for government research projects (or ability to obtain)
