Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation challenges
- Lead experimental validation of quantum systems on superconducting platforms
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Collaborate with engineering teams to prototype quantum applications
- Secure external funding through NSF and DoE grants
- Mentor junior researchers and drive lab technical strategy
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum hardware/software stacks
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong publication record in quantum computing research
- Proficiency in Python/C++ and quantum frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
