Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical commercial applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in quantum hardware-software co-design
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals/conferences
- Secure federal and private research grants (>$500K annually)
- Mentor PhD candidates and interns in quantum computing principles
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with industry partners on real-world quantum deployments
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Published research in quantum information science
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction techniques
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion qubit systems
- Demonstrated ability to secure competitive research funding
- Strong communication skills for technical/non-technical audiences
