Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and cryptography
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims at 1000+ qubit scale
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Partner with hardware teams to co-design quantum-classical hybrid architectures
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
- Secure $5M+ in DARPA/NSF quantum computing grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 3+ years experience with superconducting or ion-trap qubits
- Published peer-reviewed papers in quantum algorithms
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum assembly languages
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and decoherence
- Track record of translating theoretical models into experimental results
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters
