Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and simulation
- Develop error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to co-design quantum processors
- Lead open-source quantum computing initiatives on GitHub
- Publish groundbreaking research in Nature/Science journals
- Partner with AI teams to develop hybrid quantum-classical ML frameworks
- Mentor junior researchers through our Quantum Future Fellowship program
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and probability theory
- Experience with high-performance computing and parallel processing
- Track record of open-source contributions to quantum computing projects
- Understanding of quantum machine learning and NISQ-era limitations
