Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems in cryptography and material science
- Lead research on fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures using superconducting qubits
- Collaborate with hardware teams to prototype quantum processors operating at millikelvin temperatures
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical machine learning frameworks for predictive analytics
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature Physics and IEEE Quantum journals
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory through our Nexus Fellowship program
- Secure $5M+ in NSF and DARPA grants for frontier quantum computing initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Theoretical Physics, or Computational Mathematics with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals with >50 citations per paper
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Proven track record of developing quantum error correction protocols
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mechanisms and mitigation strategies
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware integration and control systems
- Strong background in topological quantum computing and Majorana fermion research
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical models into practical quantum advantage demonstrations
