Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to mitigate quantum decoherence effects
- Lead quantum software development using Qiskit and Cirq frameworks
- Present findings at international quantum symposia (Q2C, APS March Meeting)
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
- Contribute to open-source quantum computing libraries
- Develop IP protection strategies for novel quantum methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum focus
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming (Qiskit/Q#)
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on quantum topics
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum circuit design
- Experience with quantum annealing systems (D-Wave, etc.)
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- Clearable federal security clearance preferred
