Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Conduct advanced research in quantum error correction and qubit stabilization techniques
- Collaborate with hardware teams to prototype and test quantum processors at cryogenic temperatures
- Lead cross-functional projects integrating quantum computing with classical AI/ML frameworks
- Publish findings in leading scientific journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent development
- Stay current with emerging quantum technologies and industry standards
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related quantum field (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum computing platforms (e.g., IBM Q, Rigetti, D-Wave)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Q#, Cirq) and classical languages (Python, C++)
- Strong background in quantum information theory and many-body physics
- Demonstrated ability to publish peer-reviewed research in high-impact journals
- Experience with machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) for hybrid quantum-classical models
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences
