Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Lead research projects in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to develop quantum software compatible with next-generation quantum processors
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present findings at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and drive innovation through cross-functional partnerships
- Secure external funding through NSF, DOE, and industry partnerships
- Translate theoretical quantum models into practical implementations for commercial applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of post-doctoral experience
- Proven expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and quantum simulation frameworks
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum systems preferred
- Demonstrated ability to lead interdisciplinary research teams
