Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum systems using superconducting qubits and photonic processors
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to bridge theoretical models with physical implementations
- Publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Develop error-correction techniques to advance quantum coherence beyond current limits
- Secure research partnerships with national laboratories and academic institutions
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum physics and computational theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of industry research experience
- Published work in quantum algorithm development or error correction methodologies
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq) and high-performance computing environments
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mechanisms and fault-tolerant architectures
- Track record of securing government or corporate research grants exceeding $1M
- Experience with cryogenic systems and quantum hardware integration
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate theoretical concepts into experimental protocols
