Responsibilities
- Design and prototype quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction techniques to enhance qubit stability in 50+ qubit systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to validate quantum processor performance metrics
- Author peer-reviewed publications and present findings at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and lead cross-functional innovation sprints
- Secure federal and industry grants for quantum computing research initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years research experience
- Proven expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published work in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, IEEE) on quantum algorithms
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems or superconducting qubit manipulation
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding through NSF or DARPA proposals
