Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for cryptography, optimization, and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction protocols to enhance qubit coherence in multi-qubit systems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy benchmarks using superconducting platforms
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature Physics and IEEE Quantum journals
- Partner with hardware teams to integrate quantum processors with classical computing infrastructure
- Secure $10M+ in DARPA and NSF research grants for quantum innovation
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years post-grad research
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing publications (Science/Physical Review X)
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and microwave control electronics
- Proven track record of translating theoretical models into experimental prototypes
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
