Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms leveraging IBM Quantum Experience and D-Wave systems
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype quantum solutions for enterprise clients
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Develop error-correction protocols for scalable quantum processors
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate quantum machine learning models
- Secure $1M+ in annual R&D funding through competitive grant proposals
- Mentor PhD researchers and publish 3+ papers annually
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum computing experience with Qiskit/Cirq
- Published research in quantum algorithms or error correction
- Expertise in quantum machine learning frameworks (PennyLane, Qibo)
- Proficiency with high-performance computing (HPC) environments
- Strong background in linear algebra and probability theory
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal or corporate research grants
- Experience mentoring quantum research interns
