Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum hardware-software interfaces
- Publish research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, IEEE) and present at conferences
- Secure $1M+ in government grants and industry partnerships
- Mentor PhD candidates and interns in quantum computing principles
- Develop error-correction techniques for fault-tolerant quantum systems
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- 3+ years hands-on quantum programming experience with frameworks like Qiskit or Cirq
- Published research in quantum information theory or quantum machine learning
- Expertise in at least one classical programming language (Python, C++)
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Experience with superconducting or ion-trap quantum systems
- Ability to secure research funding through grant writing
