Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for real-world applications
- Lead experimental quantum computing projects on superconducting qubit systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum circuit performance
- Develop error mitigation techniques for fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum programming best practices
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (MS with exceptional experience considered)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or PyQuil)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Publication record in quantum computing or high-performance computing
- Expertise in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and complexity theory
- Strong Python/C++ skills with HPC optimization experience
