Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications in machine learning and cryptography
- Lead experimental validation of quantum computing systems using superconducting qubits and ion traps
- Develop error-correction protocols to advance quantum coherence beyond current industry standards
- Publish groundbreaking research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Collaborate with product teams to translate theoretical advances into commercial solutions
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of research experience
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Hands-on experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, D-Wave)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Proven track record of developing quantum algorithms with practical applications
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
