Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Lead research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop quantum-classical hybrid workflows
- Publish findings in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, Quantum)
- Secure $1M+ in annual research grants from DARPA and NSF
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Develop IP portfolios with 10+ patent applications annually
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Expertise in quantum circuit optimization and simulation
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Experience with high-performance computing environments
- Proven track record of securing research funding
