Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy protocols using QPUs
- Develop error correction frameworks for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum-classical hybrid architectures
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from DARPA/NSF/DoD
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (2020-2026 graduates preferred)
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and QASM languages
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Proficiency with quantum frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and probability theory
- Track record of translating theory to practical implementations
