Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to validate quantum circuit performance on prototype processors
- Develop quantum simulation frameworks for pharmaceutical and materials science applications
- Mentor PhD candidates and junior researchers in quantum computing methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or PennyLane)
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, or IEEE Transactions)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong proficiency in Python and C++ with high-performance computing experience
- Track record of translating theoretical concepts into experimental prototypes
- Experience securing federal research grants (NSF, DOE, or DARPA)
