Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Develop error-corrected quantum architectures to achieve fault-tolerant computation
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams in prototyping quantum hardware-software interfaces
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and industry whitepapers
- Secure federal and corporate grants for quantum computing initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Translate theoretical advances into scalable commercial solutions
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or quantum algorithms
- Expertise in quantum hardware architectures (superconducting, trapped ion, photonic)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Proven ability to secure research funding ($500K+ projects)
- Experience mentoring quantum research teams
