Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning
- Lead quantum hardware-software integration projects using superconducting qubits
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure $5M+ in government and industry research grants
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with MIT/Stanford on quantum internet infrastructure
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years experience with quantum circuit simulation (Qiskit/Cirq)
- Published work in quantum machine learning or cryptography
- Expertise in Python/C++ and low-level hardware interfacing
- Strong background in topological quantum computing
- Experience securing DoE/NASA research funding
- Active contributor to open-source quantum frameworks
