Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems in logistics and cryptography
- Lead cross-functional teams in building fault-tolerant quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to implement quantum error correction protocols
- Secure $2M+ in NSF/DoD research grants for quantum AI applications
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum machine learning methodologies
- Present findings at IEEE Quantum Week and ACM SIGGRAPH conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years experience with superconducting qubit systems or trapped-ion platforms
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on quantum algorithms
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum SDKs
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes (surface, LDPC)
- Security clearance preferred for defense-adjacent projects
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters (HPC)
