Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications in finance, logistics, and drug discovery
- Lead research on quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for near-term quantum advantage
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors and control systems
- Secure $5M+ in NSF/DARPA quantum research grants by 2026
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Theoretical Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals (PRL, PRA, Quantum)
- Expertise in quantum circuit optimization and tensor network simulations
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks and cloud quantum platforms
- Demonstrated ability to lead multi-institutional quantum research projects
- Strong background in quantum information theory and many-body physics
- Experience with high-performance computing (HPC) and parallel programming
